Download Gerfaut

Free and open source. Every release ships with checksums signed by the author's minisign key.

Linux

.AppImage, .deb and .rpm packages

The files are on GitHub.

This page could not read the latest release. Every file is on the release page.

Windows

.exe installer

The files are on GitHub.

This page could not read the latest release. Every file is on the release page.

First launch. The installer has no code-signing certificate, so SmartScreen may stop it the first time. Click "More info", then "Run anyway".

macOS

.app in a .zip archive

The files are on GitHub.

This page could not read the latest release. Every file is on the release page.

First launch. Apple has not notarized the app, so macOS refuses it the first time. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and click "Open Anyway". Since macOS Sequoia, right-click and Open no longer gets past it.

Android

one .apk per processor

The files are on GitHub.

This page could not read the latest release. Every file is on the release page.

All builds and release notes live on github.com/gerfaut-wallet. The apps check there for a newer release at most once a day and tell you when one is out, through Tor when your backend is an .onion address. A switch in the About settings turns the check off.

Verify your download

Two commands prove that the files were signed by the author and arrived unchanged. Shown here for Linux: the SHA256SUMS file and its signature sit next to the builds on the release page, desktop or Android, and go in the folder of the file you are checking.

1. Check the signature of the checksum file

minisign -Vm SHA256SUMS -P RWTz3c4gUmglCX5Uvjthigz1ts3TS3ZSdhRNpFgOJRW/Wr4XjGlqTR3O

2. Check the file you downloaded

sha256sum --check SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing

Author's minisign public key

RWTz3c4gUmglCX5Uvjthigz1ts3TS3ZSdhRNpFgOJRW/Wr4XjGlqTR3O
