Open a wallet to read its balance, sync it and browse its transactions.

Open a wallet

Select a wallet card on the home screen. The wallet page opens with the balance on top, then the Transactions and UTXOs tabs.

Read the balance

Total balance already counts the transactions that are not in a block yet. An amber line under it shows the part in transit, such as +0.00050000 BTC. To add a fiat value under each amount, see Units and fiat. A note replaces the amber line when the figure is not current:
  • Not synced yet.: The wallet never synced.
  • Sync failed: nothing fetched yet.: The first sync failed.
  • Sync failed: showing the last known balance.: A later sync failed.
Three links under the balance count the UTXOs and the transactions, and sum up the policy, such as 2 of 3 keys. Each one opens the matching page. Five cards surround the balance:
  • Bitcoin price: The price in your currency, with its change over 1D, 1W, 1M or 1Y, from your price source.
  • Shortcuts: Backup & sync and Manage wallets, two links into the settings.
  • Watch status: Last sync, Backend and Block, plus Live watch when Live cannot follow every address.
  • Balance history: The balance of the wallet over time, as a chart.
  • Latest activity: The five latest transactions.

Sync a wallet

Gerfaut syncs your wallets when it opens. With notifications on, it also syncs a wallet when Live hears a transaction on it, or at each background check on Android while Live is off.
Pull the home screen down, or select the sync button in the app bar. The line on the wallet page then reads Synced 2 min ago · mempool.space, or starts with Sync failed, with the reason below.
A sync also finds a payment to an address Gerfaut never showed, up to the gap limit past the last one it revealed. For coins further out, raise the Gap limit in Settings > Wallets, then select Rescan on the wallet.

Browse the history

Select the Transactions tab of the wallet page. A clock marks a pending transaction, and a check mark a transaction in a block.
A wallet page on Android with the total balance, the Transactions and UTXOs tabs with their counts, the transaction rows and the Receive button.

The wallet page keeps the balance on top and the full history right under it.

Pending transactions come first, then the others, newest first. Select a row to open the transaction.

Hide every amount

Select More, then Hide balances. Show balances brings them back.
Every amount becomes •••••, on balances, transactions, the Android widgets and the desktop chart. Notifications leave the amount out.

One menu entry masks every amount, on the home screen and on the wallet page.

Export the history as CSV

1

Open the export page

On the wallet page, select More, then Export CSV.
2

Set the filters

Under Date range, leave From and To empty to export the full history, or set the first and last day:
Select From or To and pick the day.
Under Direction, keep All or select Received or Sent. Pending transactions have no date, so Include pending only applies without dates.
3

Save the file

Select Save file or Share.
The file carries the wallet name, such as cold-storage-transactions.csv. It holds one row per transaction, oldest first, with the transaction id, date, block, confirmations, direction, amount and fee.
